The Bay Atlantic Symphony
American composer James Grant’s homage to the theater Entr’acte is witty and rollicking. Solo pianist Byeol Kim performs Robert Schumann’s Concerto in A Minor with magic and joy. George Bizet’s effervescent and youthful Symphony is adored for its charm and Romanticism.

Marvels of Majesty
February 11 @ 7:30 pm
The Williamsport Symphony Orchestra, led by Maestro Gerardo Edelstein, is excited to present Marvels of Majesty on Tuesday, February 11th, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Arts Center. This stunning concert will feature the dazzling Piano Concerto in G major by Maurice Ravel, with celebrated pianist Byeol Kim, and Anton Bruckner’s majestic Symphony No. 7 in E Major. A special highlight of the evening will be the rare use of Wagner tubas, a unique brass instrument designed by Richard Wagner, adding a distinctive richness to Bruckner’s symphony.
The Wagner Tubas: A rare and unique feature of Bruckner’s *Symphony No. 7* is the inclusion of the Wagner tubas, a special type of brass instrument invented by composer Richard Wagner. These instruments were designed specifically for Wagner’s operas to blend the sound of the French horn with the timbre of the tuba. Their distinct sound is deep, resonant, and full of mystery, offering a rare sonic texture that adds an extraordinary dimension to Bruckner’s symphonic masterpiece.
